2018 SELLE FRANCAIS COLT
QUITE EASY X AMARETTO D’ARCO
Fancy hunter-jumper prospect.
$9500
Super-social, brave, sensible and balanced, I’M QUITE DASHING CSF was bred with the American amateur hunter-jumper market in mind. His pedigree includes some of the most successful European bloodlines: Quidam de Revel, Darco, Rosire. Like his dam and granddam (both have been trained by this colt’s breeder/owner), “Dash” shows all the promise of being just as sound- minded and athletic. We have been so impressed with this colt’s superior disposition and also his conformation. His natural inclination to jump the smallest things is QUITE amusing.
Dash’s sire, Quite Easy is the current #1 USEF Hunter sire although he, himself competed in grand prix jumpers up to 1.50m. Interestingly, maybe the best attestation to Quite Easy’s superior “heart”, he was a successful showjumper with just one eye. Quite Easy is known to bring scope, carefulness and willingness to work to his offspring. Trainers consistently describe Quite Easy’s offspring as very rideable, sensible and barn favorites.
His dam’s sire, Amaretto D’Arco by Darco, stood at Spy Coast Farm (Lexington, KY) was an alternate for the London Olympic team (2010) with Shane Sweetnam. He competed on Nations Cup teams and was successful internationally at 1.60m. Although Amaretto D’Arco had only a small number of offspring before he died at the young age of 14, they have been consistently rideable and careful. Emmaretto CSF, Dash’s dam, is only 4 years old but showed tremendous willingness under saddle during her initial training at 3.
Dash has had a preliminary PPE and was found to be normal. Expected height at maturity: 16.1-16.2h.
Price includes care through weaning and registration with SF and lifetime registration with USEF/USHJA
